How can couples therapy help?
Couples therapy enhances communication skills, teaches "fair fighting", and increases connection. Good couples therapy allows both partners to grow into a deeper understanding of self and other. For example, learning about attachment styles and "love languages" can be transformative.

I am an experienced therapist who can help couples talk about painful, awkward issues in a safe environment. I am unafraid of conflict, don't take sides, and have a sense of humor.
I use a Gottman-informed treatment approach and incorporate elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am committed to helping couples work through their issues and stay together. Less frequently, I help couples separate peacefully.
I am LGBTQIA affirming and open to working with any kind of partnership. I also provide pre-marital counseling.
